Original shiboridashi teapot handmade in Ninshu kiln in Kyoto. The kiln is connected with Ninnaji Temple - the world heritage and Japanese national treasure. Shiboridashi teapot does not have a strainer, but grooves at the spout. Shiboru means to squeeze in Japanese, as the small size of shiboridashi makes it perfect for brewing essential tea. The teapot is made of graphite clay and irregularly glazed outside with sea blue glaze. Energetic colour and classic shape.

The teapot is packed in an elegant paper box decorated with 16 petal chrysantemum - the symbol of imperial palace. Great idea for an elegant and original gift.
