Elegant tea set for 5 people. A beautiful kyusu teapot in a classic shape and five cups. The utensils are made in a respected ceramic workshop in Hagi. The masters of the way of tea in the 16th century used to say “first raku, second hagi, third karatsu” - Hagi tea pottery was one of the most revered in Japan and it remains so today. The vessels are handmade of light-colored, relatively light clay and covered with a glossy lily-white glaze. The characteristic hagiyaki mesh of cracks on the glaze - kannyu - will become more expressive over time as it is used. Meeting over tea in such a surrounding will allow you to escape from everyday life and find yourself for a moment in the land of subtle beauty enchanted in a cup of green tea.
