Matchawan teacup oribe hana 350ml
A traditional matcha tea bowl, handmade and decorated in a Japanese ceramics studio. Light clay and extremely impressive glazing - classic decorations with floral motifs and green and brown glazing. This is the oribe ceramic style, named after the 16th-century tea master Furuta Oribe. Pottery in this style was highly valued in the tea world and remains so to the present day. This cup is a beautiful example of contemporary Japanese applied art. Note the interesting cylindrical shape, the natural drips of green glaze, and the decoration on the bottom of the cup.
