A set of four porcelain plates for sauce or side dishes. Original Japanese porcelain from Gifu Prefecture. The plates are decorated with “lucky” motifs - the so-called “engi-ga ii”. You will find four symbols here:
- maneki neko cat - with its raised paw, it invites luck and good fortune
- sensu fans - a symbol of progress, growth, increasing happiness and prosperity
- hyoutan gourds - associated with wealth, prosperity and longevity
- ume plum blossoms - represent the beginning of spring, hope, the overcoming of difficulties
The plates are perfect for soy sauce when serving sushi, but you can also use them for dips for other dishes or to present sweet or savory garnishes. Great also for small snacks or desserts. A beautiful and practical set, it will make a great setting for an oriental dinner or an original gift for a lover of Japanese cuisine.
