Elegant teapot handmade in a workshop in Kyoto. Dark brown clay and white decoration - drawings of branches of hagi flowers - lespedeza. The shiboridashi teapot has no handle or classic strainer. “Shiboru” means “to squeeze” in Japanese. The tea leaves are “squeezed” out of the brew using grooves at the spout of the teapot. This is a unique vessel made of Japan's prized kiyomizuyaki ceramics - an option for tea connoisseurs and lovers of artistic objects “with a soul.”
