Shiboridashi teapot mishima hana 180ml
Elegant teapot handmade in a workshop in Kyoto. Dark brown clay, traditional mishima decorations - flower-shaped stamps imprinted on the surface of the vessel and filled with lighter clay and then covered with a transparent glaze. This is a very work and time-consuming technique, but it creates spectacular results. The shiboridashi teapot has no handle or classic strainer. “Shiboru” means “to squeeze” in Japanese. The tea leaves are “squeezed” out of the brew using grooves at the spout of the teapot. This is a unique vessel made of Japan's prized kiyomizuyaki ceramics - an option for tea connoisseurs and lovers of artistic objects “with a soul.”
Features:
- respected Kyoto ceramics - kyoyaki (kiyomizuyaki)
- the shiboridashi is a teapot for preparing high-quality tea
- decorated with floral patterns using the traditional mishima technique
- volume is measured to the top edge of the pot - “practical” capacity is slightly smaller
Dimensions:
- Diameter 10,5cm
- Height 8cm
- Capacity (to the upper edge) 180ml
