Oribe cup with handles 200ml
Japanese ceramic cup, handmade and decorated in the respected traditional Shiokusa studio in Seto. Characteristic of this area, pale clay, glazed with transparent and green glaze in some places. Underglaze decorations - traditional floral and geometric motifs. These are typical features of the traditional oribe ceramic style, named after Furuta Oribe, a 16th-century Japanese tea master. Notice the irregular shape, striking “ears” and clay cuts at the bottom of the vessel. Traditional Japanese ceramic craftsmanship.
