An original vessel handcrafted at the Ninshu workshop in Kyoto. This is the ceramic workshop at Ninnaji Temple, which is a World Heritage Site. Because of its association with the imperial court (Ninnaji temple was once the residence of Emperor Udo), the Ninshu atelier can use the imperial symbol - the image of a chrysanthemum flower with sixteen petals, which appears on the packaging of ceramic vessels produced at the atelier.

The vessel is turned on a potter's wheel - irregular shapes give it a dynamic, artistic character. Graphite-colored clay and irregularly applied white matte glaze. It has the form of a bowl with a spout, with a slightly irregular shape. In Japan, it is intended for serving sake, but it will be perfect for many other roles. You can serve sauce or dressing in it, or prepare matcha tea. Thanks to the spout, you will pour the tea into few cups  and prepare tea for several people at one time. A beautiful and practical dish with many uses.
