An elegant and original coffee or tea mug made by ceramic artist Seigan Yamane. The colour scheme of the glaze is exceptionally striking - a melange of white, browns and greens.  Interesting , irregular shape with a ‘ dimple’. A beautiful example of contemporary Japanese applied art - it can be an original gift for an aesthete or a lover of design and refined objects.

Seigan Yamane is a highly regarded ceramic artist who lives and works in Hagi. Many years of trial and experience with traditional materials and techniques can be seen in the unique vessels. The artist derives great joy from his daily work and wishes to pass it on to all who use the vessels he makes :)

Due to its handmade nature, each mug is slightly different from the others - the unique distribution of the glaze on the vessel, the different balance of colours and the subtle differences in size and shape are a natural feature of objects made by the artist's hand.
