Mug kenzan-yaki sakura 300ml
Elegant mug handmade in Kyoto pottery studio Shunzangama. It is run by a third generation pottery artist. The Shunzangama artists continue the tradition of Kenzan Ogata. He was one of the best Japanese painters and ceramic artists, lived in XVII / XVIII century in Kyoto vicinity. He was also a master of tea ceremony and most of his works were teawares. Kenzan Ogata's style was so special that was named kenzan-yaki. Shunzangama wares are kenzan-yaki works.
The mug is beautifully handpainted in cherry flowers. Great for tea or coffee, packed in an elegant giftbox.
