A small mortar with a wooden pestle for grinding herbs, garlic butter, roasted sesame seeds, and other grains and spices. A wide bowl made of light coloured clay and decorated with tokusa pattern outside. The inside has a rough surface with sharp grooves - perfect for grinding even hard seeds. The bowl comes with a light wood pestle. A beautiful and practical utensil that is indispensable in every kitchen.
