Matcha bowl Okame-san 500ml
Original matcha tea bowl handmade and decorated in a ceramic workshop in Kyoto. Made of light clay, covered with a transparent glaze and decorated with an image of Okame-san. Okame or otafuku is the Japanese goddess of joy - her plump cheeks and smiling lips were once considered a model of feminine beauty, the embodiment of domestic warmth and prosperity. Hyakufuku means “much happiness” in Japanese and Okame-san's smiling face is a symbol of good luck and prosperity.
Made according to traditional craftsmanship, this matchawan is a beautiful example of Japanese artwork.
