Kyusu brown ume Gyokuryu 210ml
Original teapot handmade by respected ceramic artist Jiro Umehara in Tokoname, at his Gyokuryu studio. Dark brown clay with a gentle gloss, perfectly round shape. Note the interesting detail - carved plum blossoms - ume - on the lid and side of the teapot. Precisely made ceramic tea strainer at the spout inside the teapot. Perfectly made and handy kyusu teapot for green tea. A choice for connoisseurs of tea and unique tea preparation accessories. Signature of the artist below the teapot handle.
Mr. Jiro Umehara is a renowned artist with extensive experience, winner of many awards at ceramic exhibitions. He is certified as a “Traditional Artisan Artist” by the Ministry of Economy of Japan for those who have made significant contributions to the cultivation of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
