Kyusu teapot youhen Gyokko 350ml
An original tea kettle handmade in the highly regarded Gyokko ceramics workshop of the Umehara family. The beautiful colouring of black and energetic brick orange - this is the so-called ‘youhen’ effect, an impossible to plan melange of colours created on the surface of the vessel while firing. The fine notches on the clay - biri - are a traditional technique for decorating ceramics. A finely crafted ceramic tea strainer. Japanese tea ceramics in a truly perfect edition. A beautiful, artfully crafted vessel for brewing not only green tea. Signature of the studio on the handle. Great for tea celebration with friends and family.
