Extraordinary teapot made in Tokoname by a gifted artist Sekiryu. Aesthetic, raw clay fired in high temperature. The teapot was tied with seaweeds before fireing and they formed so called mogake pattern on the surface. Beautiful piece of art made by a a craftman and nature together. Hirakyusu means "flat teapot" and thanks to this shape it makes tealeaves to open wide, so you can enjoy very rich aroma and flavour. Great for tealovers who look for the best way to prepare high quality sencha, kabusecha or gyokuro.
