Yakishime kyusu teapot 400ml
A classic teapot – kyusu – made in Tokoname, one of the six oldest ceramic centres in Japan. The traditional yakishime method – firing unglazed clay at high temperatures – results in a raw vessel in warm earth tones. The matte surface and delicate circular grooves on the clay give this vessel an organic, natural character. The teapot has a metal strainer attached inside - it will filter out even the smallest tea leaves. Very comfortable handle. A beautiful and practical teapot for everyday tea brewing.
Product features:
- highly regarded Japanese ceramics from Tokoname - Tokonameyaki
- convenient and practical for brewing green tea
- metal strainer attached inside the teapot
- warm earthy colour - high-temperature firing technique - yakishime
- volume is measured to the top edge of the vessel - "practical" capacity is slightly smaller
Dimensions:
- Diameter at the lid 9cm
- Height 7cm
- Width (with handle) 17,5cm
- Volume (to top edge) 400ml
