Kame Horyu teapot 400ml
An original, hand-crafted teapot from the renowned Horyu pottery studio in Tokoname. The black-fired clay is decorated with an interesting texture (matsukawa – pine bark) on the outer surface of the teapot. Note the beautiful pattern – a design reminiscent of a tortoise shell. Perfect craftsmanship, in a classic Japanese colour combination of black and red. The teapot is fitted with a precision-crafted ceramic tea strainer at the spout. A beautiful, minimalist vessel for brewing not only green tea. The artist’s signature is below the handle.

- the volume is measured to the upper rim of the vessel – the ‘practical’ capacity is slightly smaller
