Hojicha Ureshino Tea 80g
Hojicha is a tea roasted using a strong heat, which gives its leaves a brown color. The infusion is characterized by a deep brown color and an intense, refreshing aroma. Hojicha is also very distinctive, with a sweetish and slightly nutty flavor, and delicate notes of dried fruits. Hojicha tea is enjoyed even by those who do not like traditional green tea. Hojicha Ureshino is a tea that consists mainly of roasted tea bush stems obtained from plantations in several regions of the island of Kyushu.
Properties
Hojicha contains very small amounts of theine, so it can be drunk by children and just before bedtime. The catechin contained in this tea has a very positive effect on health – it lowers blood pressure and helps regulate cholesterol and sugar levels in the body. The ingredients contained in hojicha tea regulate the body's fat metabolism, making it an excellent supplement to a healthy diet. Hojicha is recommended for drinking after eating heavy, fatty foods.
Dishes
Hojicha is an everyday tea that the Japanese brew in relatively large teapots (approx. 500-700 ml), called dobin (with a bamboo or wooden handle on top of the teapot). Hojicha is usually served in tall cups similar in shape to mugs without handles, called yunomi.
Brewing method
First infusion – 3g of tea per 100ml of water, temperature 90ºC, time 1,5 - 2min.
Second and third infusions – 90 - 95ºC, 2 - 3min.
