Original chopstick rests, handcrafted in a workshop in Kyoto. Packaged in the form of a beautiful picture illustrating tsukimi – moon viewing. This festival is celebrated in Japan in autumn – usually around the time of the full moon in September. In Japan, it is believed that the shape of a rabbit beating rice mochi balls is visible on the surface of the full moon. According to legend, the God of Heaven took the rabbit to the moon out of gratitude for its willingness to sacrifice itself to feed him during the hardships of his journey. That is why the image of the rabbit and the full moon is a traditional autumn decorative motif.A card with coasters could make an original gift for a fan of Japan or a rabbit lover.
