Its minimalist character perfectly captures the wabi-sabi aesthetic – the beauty found in modest and seemingly imperfect objects. The exceptional design and ascetic character are the hallmarks of this unique piece. The plate is large and impressive, with a gently raised rim – ideal for main courses, fruit and snacks.

Hechimon refers to unconventional items made by craftsmen in Shigaraki - it is a registered trademark of the Marui Seito studio. Just as nature creates diverse forms and each of us has a unique individuality, so “hechimon” dishes are characterized by diversity and each of them is one of a kind. Potters believe that, more than industrial products, they are thought to resemble agricultural products created by nature. Craftsmen produce clay vessels with dedication and creativity, respecting their uniqueness and giving them exceptional forms.
